Industry Background: – I have over 17 years’ experience in Electronics Engineering. I started my career in electronics in 1995 at Schema Electronics when I was 19 as a test technician, I then continued my development and worked for Microfast, Fitzgerald Lighting Ltd and Somar International Ltd. In 2009 I did diverge into IT support for 5 years at Primary PC Solutions Ltd as an ICT Engineer which has provided me with a better understanding of IT systems.
Previous Experience: – Electronic/Electrical and Mechanical Engineering across many different roles/responsibilities including Technical Support Manager, Technical Training, Production Engineering, Electronics Design/Test Engineer, Assembly and Maintenance. These skills were obtained in various sectors and technologies including lighting and motor control within the lighting, energy saving/efficiency and contract manufacturing industries.
Role at Sellectronics: – Supporting all staff with any Technical queries in the fields of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Through Hole Technology, Test, Machine Troubleshooting, IT support and training including IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies. Support to customers regarding new and existing assemblies from PCBA through to Box Builds. New Product Introduction (NPI), Production Part Approval Processes, Machine programming, Reflow profiling, Machine Calibration, Tooling and Process Engineering.
